About

Animal 911 provides 24-hour emergency veterinary care for the safety and welfare of our patients.

We are open and available when your family veterinarian is closed; overnight, weekends and even holidays. We pride ourselves in maintaining a highly technical nursing staff skilled in all aspects of veterinary emergency medicine. Our entire staff is dedicated to providing a “home away from home” environment for our admitted patients. We are committed to helping everyone who is affected by their pet’s illness. To ensure continuity of care, all medical records will be faxed or emailed to your family veterinarian following your visit with us.

For the most critical patients, specialists are available for consultations during weekday hours.

Dr. Susan Yohn, diplomate ACVIM, of Internal Medicine Referral Service offers ultrasound, endoscopy and other advanced diagnostic procedures. Dr. Susan Horton Of Chicago Exotics, is a specialist in avian and exotic medicine. Because both practices are located in the Animal 911 building, your pet can have a consultation without the stress and inconvenience of being transferred.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. Our facility includes a pharmacy for our patients, in-hospital surgery suite and x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area with indoor kennels.

At Animal 911, we strive to offer not only sound advice, but optimal veterinary care, allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years.
